Asia-Pacific Markets and Opportunities for Broadband Service Providers
There are many players who will have you believe that there are unlimited 'pots of gold' at the end of the Broadband Rainbow...er Spectrum. However, as often happens with rainbows, they tend to move or disappear as one gets closer to them.
In Mr. O'Brien's presentation he will attempt to sift out a lot of the hype that surrounds the opportunities in Broadband Services and give attendees some clear advice on what to not to do, when looking to invest in Broadband, and isolate some key areas in these complex markets where the real opportunities exist.

Kevin O'Brien, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Ovum, leads Ovum's continued growth into Asia. With offices in Australia, and Seoul, and network of associates and contacts throughout the region, he leads a team that tracks industry developments and ensures that Ovum's research programs cover the most significant issues. Kevin's prime objective is to help Ovum's clients make better commercial decisions by taking advantage of their expertise and research.
Speakers:
Fazal Bahardeen, Vice President & General Manager, Fixed Solutions Division & Next Generation Networks, Alcatel Asia Pacific, been with Alcatel since 1988, Fazal has held a variety of senior positions in the Asia Pacific Region and the company's headquarters in Paris, France. Prior to the current position, he was the Vice President, Sales and Key Account Management for the Asia Pacific and successfully focused the sales force on revenue growth and market share in the region.
John Cole, Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific, Tellabs, is responsible for sales, marketing, pre-sales and post-sales technical support, and channel management for all of Tellabs' operations in Asia, with sales offices in China, India, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.
Andy Miller, Director of Marketing, Asia Pacific, Juniper Networks, brings to Juniper more than 18 years of experience working with carriers around the world. He was formerly the company's Director of Strategic Business Development for Asia Pacific. Andy has held a number of senior international roles including sales, product design, product management, software development and marketing, working in New Zealand, Australia, England and the USA.
