A Global Look at Crossing the Chasm

Ideas for new, exciting services are legion. However, examples of commercially deployed converged new services are still considered "case studies." This session looks at some of the early implementations of converged services in an attempt to discover what common characteristics help to drive a new service across the chasm from trial to widespread adoption. In particular, the session will address profit expectations, fruitful markets, and early-adopter segments. It will also look at barriers, such as cannibalization. Much of the emphasis will be on international applications, as some of the leading-edge deployments are occurring across the globe.
