Network operators and service providers are under increased pressure to generate new revenue streams, increase ARPU, and reduce churn. To achieve these goals, operators must create and deploy new services while increasing subscriber-base loyalty and stickiness. One promising path is the migration to IP multimedia services being defined for 3G networks. However, network upgrades for IP multimedia services may take years, during which time operators are missing out on critical opportunities to generate immediate revenue.
