IEC Attributes Another Successful Year to its High Quality Educational Program
Over fifty sessions, full day TecForums, keynote luncheon addresses, and the IEC Executive Forum brought together hundreds of service providers, enterprise professionals, and equipment manufacturers from around the world to this year's IEC Communications Forums @ SUPERCOMM.
On behalf of the International Engineering Consortium, we would like to thank all those who participated in this year's program, with a special thank you to thank you to the faculty for making this year's program a huge success, and to BellSouth for their support as the corporate registration sponsor.
Featured IEC Keynote Speakers
IEC Keynote Luncheon presentations provided attendees with crucial insight at what directions and strategies key companies in the industry are taking.
"For more than half a century, the IEC has brought together the top leaders, thinkers, and innovators of the communications industry. It is my pleasure to deliver the IEC's keynote address at SUPERCOMM 2003 and share our perspective on the strategic issues facing telecommunications today," said F. Duane Ackerman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BellSouth.
Andrew J. Green, Chief Executive Officer of BT Global Services and BT Executive Board Member, delivered the IEC Wednesday Luncheon Keynote Address "Conquering the Communications Frontier." Mr. Green shared his views on where we are heading in the IP world and the opportunities for businesses to exploit new technologies and services.
Patricia F. Russo, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Lucent Technologies said one key indicator of an impending recovery is the encouraging sign that sharp declines in capital spending by companies seems to be abating. "We are no longer seeing the sharp declines in spending that we saw in 2002," said Russo.
