Mr. Braun became president of Siemens Carrier Networks Division (SCN), where he heads U.S. operations for Siemens' access, optical, and switching products and solutions, as well as the division's sales, service, and marketing functions. His most recent position was senior vice president and ICN head of Siemens Ltd. in Thailand, where he and his team were successful in building sales of the next-generation network product portfolio.

Mr. Acra is responsible for coordinating Cisco Systems' technology and product strategies targeting the service-provider customer base, as well as Cisco's engagement model for that market. Prior to this position, Mr. Acra served as vice president and general manager of the Internet Routing Group at Cisco, which was responsible for developing Cisco's market-leading high-end router product line.
Thomas Bartlett

Mr. Bartlett is responsible for a number of marketing, sales, operational, network, and process issues within Verizon's Telecom organization. Prior to his current position, he was president of Global Solutions Inc., a newly created (July 2000) Verizon business unit responsible for operating a cost-effective, global telecommunications network linking the United States with major cities in Europe, Asia, and South America, developing and delivering a broad global voice, data, and IP product set. As part of the Global Solutions role, Mr. Bartlett also managed TSI, a wireless company enabler, and FLAG, a global undersea cable provider.

Niel M. Ransom

Dr. Ransom was appointed chief technology officer of Alcatel in March 2002. Prior to that, he served as chief technology officer of Alcatel Americas. He joined Alcatel in 1997 as general manager of the local networks business unit. Previously, he worked for BellSouth as senior director of advanced technology systems. Prior to BellSouth, he managed various development and applied research organizations at AT&T Bell Labs. In 2000, Dr. Ransom was appointed a member of the Technological Advisory Council of the U.S. Federal Communication Commission.
