Security and Mobility in Wireless Broadband Networks

The advent of wireless broadband networks offers the potential for a variety of new consumer and enterprise applications. At the same time, the new business models that will evolve raise concerns about maintaining consumer privacy, protecting corporate data and network integrity. This session will examine the evolving broadband mobility paradigm—what are the emerging service capabilities and business models? What are the architectural alternatives and standards for maintaining trust and security? What's at risk, and where should controls be implemented by the subscriber?

  • Broadband mobile Internet services and business models
  • Consumer privacy in a digital economy
  • Emerging architectures and standards for accessing hosted applications
  • The implications of broadband services on mobile-network architectures
