New Economics and Architecture Technologies of Broadband

As service providers vie for new customers, the content and services that they provide become far more important than the kind of plumbing that they use to get to their content. Networks designed with content management and User-based QoS in mind will be able to offer innovative content, attract new subscribers, maintain existing customers and increase how much revenue per subscriber through innovative billing techniques for access to that content. Those service providers that are "first-to-market, first-to-customers" with innovative combinations of content, services and billing that meet subscribers' needs will have a definite competitive advantage, both from a customer-loyalty and a bottom-line perspective.
