Fundamentals of DSL Technologies

DSL has proven itself as a reliable high-speed access technology. It's fast, it's available and it shares your existing telephone line. But what about all those acronyms? This session provides an excellent overview of DSL and all the many "flavors," including ADSL, SHDSL, VDSL and ReachDSL. In addition, attendees will enjoy a real-world discussion of deployment issues and end-to-end provisioning and a close-up look at voice over DSL from an industry-leading VoDSL service provider.

  • Overview of the "flavors" of DSL
  • Standards and regulatory issues
  • DSL deployment issues
  • Automated provisioning and service profiling
  • Voice-over–DSL application case study
