Fundamentals of Wireless Broadband

This session will discuss fixed broadband wireless access technology and solutions. We will start by addressing the market space, including economics, the specific services supported and any regulatory and/or standards issues surrounding the technologies. The discussion will highlight case studies – both successful and unsuccessful, and will focus on the pros and cons of implementing existing technologies.

CHAIRPERSON:

Dean Chang, Director, Product Management, Aperto Networks, has over 13 years of wireless and data-networking expertise. At Aperto Networks, he is responsible for product management for broadband fixed wireless access products and strategic product partnerships in worldwide markets. Mr. Chang is active in standards bodies as chair of the IEEE 802.16 Publicity Committee and secretary of the IEEE 802.16 Task Group.

SPEAKERS:

Dean Chang, Director, Product Management, Aperto Networks

Graham Barnes, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, NextWeb, has over 25 years of experience in the wireless telecommunications and broadcast industries.

Stuart Little, Director, DMC Stratex Networks, is currently responsible for marketing DMC Stratex's microwave radio products and solutions.
