Management of Multivendor/Technology Networks
This session will present industry views on the rapid evolution in telecommunication network infrastructure and operational requirements, and the impact these changes are having on network-management solutions. Specific topics of interest that will be addressed include service-level management, flow-through provisioning, and the integration of network management with other BSSs and OSSs. Particular attention will be given to the issues associated with network management in networks that are growing through industry consolidation (i.e., mergers and acquisitions).

Frank Bourne, Vice President, Marketing and Technology, Harris Corporation, is responsible for communications business and product-development strategies. An 18-year veteran, Dr. Bourne has experience in satellite-systems engineering, advanced programs, and strategic planning through working with U.S. government agencies to develop large-scale, remote-sensing, information-processing, and communications system architectures and products.
