IP Service Management

IP services management presents significant challenges for classic telecommunications operations systems. New network technologies and high customer expectations for outsourced services require new approaches to operations and management systems. Today's operations-system platform must merge support for legacy operations and new requirements imposed by IP services. This session explores the impact of IP services on billing, provisioning, and fault and performance management and discusses the need for new systems technologies.

  • Challenges Introduced by IP Services Operations
  • Meeting Customer Expectations for Service Performance
  • New Demands of IP Usage-Based Billing
  • Architectural Consideration
  • Integration with the Legacy OSS Environment

Most recently he has been responsible for managing the definition and specification of operations systems, integrating offers for support of carriers, and developing broadband service and competitive local-exchange carrier (CLEC) operations solutions.
