Wireless Charging and Pricing

The mobile industry's greatest challenge is not "3G"—rather, it is enabling and capturing "points of value" in an efficient value chain. 2.5G technologies enable new value chains to be created even as 3G networks are planned, engineered, and deployed. Understanding the role of new billing models—prepaid, usage-based, content-based—is key to successful creation and implementation of these value chains.

  • Value-Based Pricing for Convergent Wireless Services
  • Improving Operational Efficiency, Revenue, and Profits with New Billing Models
  • Interactive Content Charging and Management
  • Ensuring the Retention of Profitable Customers through 2G and 2.5G Migration

CHAIRPERSON and SPEAKER:

James Morehead, Director, Wireless Solutions Marketing, Portal Software, leads a team responsible for crafting and evangelizing Portal's strategy and outboard messaging for the convergent wireless market.

SPEAKERS:

Phillip Fuhrer, Chief Systems Architect, VoiceCue Technologies, is responsible for specifying the high-level design and functions of VoiceCue products. This has resulted in the introduction of highly effective topologies, unique revenue-generating applications, and increased system capacity and reliability. Prior to this position, Mr. Fuhrer was a distinguished member of the technical staff at Bell Laboratories.

Jaakko Soininen, President, Comptel, was employed by Comptel Corporation in Helsinki, Finland, from 1996 to 2000. In 2002, Mr. Soininen was promoted to be a member of the extended executive board of Comptel Corporation as managing director of Comptel Communications Inc. (head of the Americas business region).

Cameron Stewart, Product-Marketing Manager, Telecom Systems, Agilent Technologies, has more than eight years of telecommunications and data communications experience with Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies.
