Wireless Messaging Services

Messaging services are the vanguard of the wireless applications that carriers will employ to enhance revenue and drive the evolution of their wireless networks. Short message service (SMS) is a demonstrated hit in Europe and Japan and steadily growing in popularity in the North American market. Multimedia message service (MMS) is now emerging as the next step in bringing the wireless messaging experience closer to what users experience at the desktop. Network planners must manage the evolution to MMS–enabled platforms for optimal revenue return.

  • Enabling SMS Revenue Generation for 2G Networks
  • Wireless Messaging: From SMS to MMS and Beyond
  • Forward Compatibility of Current SMS Applications in Mixed SMS/MMS Environments

SPEAKERS:

Todd Crick, Chief Information Officer and Director, Wireless Technology Laboratory, inCode Telecom Group, has two major responsibilities: managing inCode's corporate information infrastructure and managing inCode's Wireless Technology Lab.

Cameron Stewart, Product Marketing Manager, Telecom Systems, Agilent Technologies, has responsibility for planning and management of the SMS product.

Dr. Jiwei Wang, Chief Scientist, Taral Networks, brings extensive expertise in the design and implementation of telecommunication systems, distributed computing, and wireless Internet to Taral Networks.
