Many students receive grants to participate in IEC educational programs, thus learning first hand about industry applications and opportunities.
The IEC's vast experience with web education is being applied to serving students at pre-college and college levels as well as high school counselors. New IEC web sites serve both university and high school students helping them to learn about engineering, university programs, industrial careers, and practical applications of academic courses.
To assist university engineering students make the transition from the classroom to industry, the IEC has developed GradNet, a free career-oriented resource designed for undergraduate and graduate-level engineering students.
