John R. Janowiak President International Engineering Consortium |
Mr. Janowiak is President of the International Engineering Consortium. During his 20+ year career with the Consortium he has held various leadership positions.
In his current role, Mr. Janowiak is responsible for executive and university relations;
International market development and technology transfer between industry and academia.
In this capacity, Mr. Janowiak is active with and serves as IEC's principal liaison to
many information industry corporations and non-profit organizations.

Roger L. Plummer Executive Vice President International Engineering Consortium |
Mr. Plummer leads the IEC's management team for the information industry's most prestigious exhibitions and conferences, such as the Broadband World Forum Europe, Broadband World Forum Asia, SOFNET and more.
Mr. Plummer has served in his 30-year telecommunications career at Illinois Bell, AT&T, and Ameritech in various capacities in engineering, operations, and marketing. He ascended to senior management ranks, becoming Illinois Bell's vice president of network, marketing, and ultimately operations. From there, he became president of Ameritech Custom Business Services, the business unit focused upon the largest corporate customers and those with the most complex communications requirements, from which he retired.
Mr. Plummer's extensive civic involvement has a special emphasis on education. Among those involvements, he is a board member of the University of Illinois; DePaul University; Channel 11, the public television station in Chicago; and the Merit School of Music, in addition to being a board member and chair of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Governing Member organization and the Rush Hospital Neurobehavioral Center. He is also a board member of an information-industry equipment supplier.
He received a B.S. in engineering mechanics from the University of Illinois and has completed
Executive Development Programs at Harvard University, Pennsylvania University's Wharton School, and
the University of Illinois.

Tom Costello Vice President-Conference Development International Engineering Consortium |
Mr. Costello leads the IEC's conference group responsible for the design, development and delivery of world-class educational programs for executives, managers and technologists in the information and communications industry.
Previously, Mr. Costello served in various telecommunications industry consulting roles including Samsung's Vice President- Corporate Strategy, Broadband Systems and Wireless Industry Consultant.
Additionally, Mr. Costello has more than 30 years' experience with global network operators including Ameritech/SBC, Ameritech International, and AT&T, where he had a distinguished career focused in the areas of network design, development, and operations in the United States and Europe. He is a retired United States Air Force colonel, having served as a NATO senior communications information systems officer and commander. He earned a B.S.E.E. from the University of Illinois, an M.B.A. from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, and completed the International Executive Development Program for Senior Managers at Harvard University.
