Stuart Willett, publisher of Convergence World magazine and organizer of the Convergence World Awards, said, "I am extremely pleased that the industry is being so supportive of these awards now in its second year. The vision of a world of growing convergence that encouraged us to launch Convergence World magazine is now being realized."
Convergence World magazine has been the premier publication in this sector since 2005 and is widely recognized as the voice of the industry. The Convergence World Awards are designed to recognize those organizations and individuals that have made a significant contribution to the evolution of fixed-mobile convergence.
SOFNET 08 places special emphasis on the interaction of the key constituencies that are shaping the future of information and communication technology. Uniting software with hardware, SOFNET explores the "softelco" transition plans and how the Web 2.0 world and traditional telcos will work together. In addition to the educational programming, the technology exhibition will feature demonstrations from leading software and hardware vendors and developers, as well as IP equipment suppliers and innovators, providing an ideal opportunity to discuss new advancements and technology with key industry players.
