LONDON – 14 February, 2005 – One of Great Britain's best-known TV news anchors will be posing the questions during a live interview session at the 21st Century Communications World Forum this month in London.

Jon Snow, the main presenter at Channel 4, will interview two leading communications executives about the future of their industry during the Forum. Answering the questions in front of a live audience of delegates will be Matt Bross, Group Chief Technology Officer at BT, and Robert Lloyd, President of Europe, Middle East, and Asia (EMEA) operations at Cisco Systems.

The discussion will zero in on the future of the evolving telecom network and new services it will enable. It is set for Wednesday, 23 February from 10.45 to 11.15 a.m. at the Royal Lancaster Hotel.

The 21st Century Communications World Forum, which runs 21-24 February at the hotel, is an educational conference and technology exhibition aimed at helping telecom companies create the kind of converged IP networks and offer the consumer choices expected in the modern, digitally-networked economy.

The Forum will draw industry leaders from Europe, America and Asia to look at compelling cases and share advice and experiences. The conference will feature dozens of sessions and panel discussions designed to help companies find the right mix of network architecture and services to succeed in a rapidly changing business climate.

The "Executive Hot Seat" panel featuring Snow will provide some lively discussion on the future of telecom.

"The combination of one of Britain's most distinguished news presenters and two extremely knowledgeable industry leaders should provide an insightful, probing session," said John Janowiak, senior director of the International Engineering Consortium, which is producing the conference. "We are pleased to have Jon Snow asking the questions at the 21st Century Communications World Forum."

Snow has been the face of Channel 4 News since 1989 when he became the main presenter. He has anchored the programme from wherever major world events occur: from Hong Kong at the time of the handover to China, from Washington during the Clinton impeachment hearings, from Stormont during the negotiation of the Good Friday Agreement and most recently from the West Bank, New Delhi and Baghdad. His range of international interviewees extends from Nelson Mandela to Arundhati Roy to Tony Blair.

Matt Bross at BT is responsible for setting the company's strategy on technology as well as developing BT's innovation vision. He is currently chairing the largest cross-BT transformation program to deliver company's 21st Century network -- the enabling infrastructure of BT's future vision and customer experience.

Robert Lloyd is responsible for overseeing all of Cisco System's operations in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, including sales, marketing, systems engineering and support. He is also responsible for Cisco's investment in strategic alliances, joint ventures, and acquisitions throughout the region.
